Senator Golden Plans Community Town Hall Meeting
State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C, Brooklyn), today is announcing that he will be hosting his first town hall meeting of the new year, on February 28, 2008, at 7:15 p.m., at Our Lady of Angels Auditorium, entrance at 337-74th Street.
Senator Golden is encouraging community residents to attend and address issues and concerns with a wide array of city agencies that will be present. The agencies and departments scheduled to attend include:
N.Y.P.D., 68th Precinct Department of Environmental Protection
FDNY Con-Edison Department of Transportation MTA Bridges and Tunnels Verizon Keyspan
Department of Sanitation Community Assistance Unit Parks Department of the Mayor’s Office
Senator Marty Golden stated, "As you know, town hall meetings are a great way to forge a viable link between ourselves and the City agencies and departments that serve us. The valuable information we can gather from these meetings will help us to enjoy an even greater quality of life. Whether the information takes the form of general reminders, answers related to recurring problems, or updates as to new policies or initiatives, it will allow us to know what is happening in the community we live in and to make informed decisions for ourselves and our families this year."
