Senator Golden To Salute Local Women As Part Of Women's History Month
SENATOR GOLDEN TO SALUTE LOCAL WOMEN AS PART OF WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH
Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C, Brooklyn) today is announcing that as part of the community’s celebration of Women’s History Month, the month of March, he will be honoring local women at two awards ceremonies and receptions.
The first will be held at the Bay Ridge Manor, located at 476-76th Street to be held on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Senator Golden will honor the following:
Donna J. Caroleo, Local Merchant, Owner, "The Hutch"
Sister Patricia Conroy, St. Mary Mother of Jesus
Lucy Federico
, Active Parishioner and Religious Education Teacher, St. Finbar’s ChurchLaurie Windsor, President, Community Education Council District 20
Senator Marty Golden stated, "Each year, the country marks the month of March with a celebration of Women’s History Month, a time for our nation as a collection of communities to highlight and honor those women who have brought about change through their untiring efforts, and to pay tribute to the women who have made a difference. I am proud to honor these outstanding women of our community and pay tribute to all they have accomplished."
Senator Golden will also honor women who have made a difference in our community at an event at the Salt Marsh Nature Center, at Avenue U, on Thursday, March 20, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. Senator Golden will honor the following:
