Senator Golden Salutes Local Women In Honor Of Women's History Month

SENATOR GOLDEN SALUTES LOCAL WOMEN AS PART OF WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH

Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C, Brooklyn) hosted a community celebration of Women’s History Month honoring local women at an awards ceremony and reception held last night at the Bay Ridge Manor.

Senator Golden presented New York Senate Resolutions to the following:

Donna J. Caroleo, Local Merchant, Owner, "The Hutch"

Sister Patricia Conroy, St. Mary Mother of Jesus

Lucy Federico

, Active Parishioner and Religious Education Teacher, St. Finbar’s Church

Laurie Windsor, President, Community Education Council District 20

Senator Marty Golden stated, "This month, we celebrate the many ways women strengthen and enrich America. In each aspect of American culture, we see women playing a leadership role. It is with that same notion that we see women leading our community in many aspects such as our civic sssociations, our schools, our local hospitals, our houses of worship, and our local businesses."

Golden continued, "Women are leaders in American business, government, law, science, medicine, the arts, education, and many other fields. As mothers, sisters, and daughters, women bring compassion and integrity to our communities. These four outstanding women of our community, Donna, Sister Patricia, Lucy and Laurie, have truly made a difference in our neighborhood and I am so proud to salute their work and efforts.
