Thanksgiving Celebration For 2000 Seniors In The Bronx With State Senator Rev. Ruben Diaz & Assemblyman Ruben Diaz Jr.

Governor David Paterson and Senator Malcolm Smith are among the dignitaries invited  to the Thanksgiving Celebration for 2000 seniors hosted by Senator Rev. Ruben Diaz and Assemblyman Ruben Diaz Jr.

Senator  Ruben  Diaz  and his son, Assemblyman Ruben Diaz Jr., represent 20 senior  centers  in  their  respective  districts  combined,  and they have selected  2000  seniors  from these 20 different centers for each senior to receive  a $15.00 voucher to use towards their thanksgiving dinner purchase at local participating supermarkets.

This  event  which  is  by  invitation  only,  will  take place on Tuesday, November 25th, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. in the Utopia Paradise Theater located at 2403 Grand Concourse, bet. Fordham Road and 184th street in The Bronx.

Among  the  participating senior centers are: James Monroe Ctr, Castle Hill Ctr,  Bronx  River  Ctr,  Casa  Boricua Ctr., Rain Parkchester Ctr, Melrose Senior Center     , Andrew Jackson Ctr,  Davidson Senior Ctr, Douglass Leon Ctr.,  Erma Cava Ctr., Casa de la Felicidad Ctr, Pio Mendez Ctr., Rain Boston Rd. Ctr., E.R. Moore Ctr., Mechler Hall Ctr., Soundview Senior Ctr., Soundview Presb. Church Ctr., Maria Isabel Senior Ctr.,  Sue Ginsburg Ctr., Morrisania Air Rights Ctr., and Glebe Senior Ctr.
