State Senator Shirley Huntley Will Join Local School Officials To Unveil Plans To Expand Local School

Senator Shirley Huntley (D - Queens) and P.S. 48Q school officials will be joined by community leaders and educators as they officially unveil the plans for the highly anticipated construction of P.S./I.S. 48Q with a ground breaking ceremony.
 
The new building is a part of the 368-block Downtown Jamaica Rezoning Plan. Local elected officials were successful in ensuring the school was included in the plan to address the growing student population in the area.
