Saland Announces Bill To Help Parents Of Special Ed Students Find Services

Committees on Special Education (CSE) and Committees on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) are primarily charged with identifying, evaluating, and making recommendations regarding the appropriate educational placement of children with disabilities.

"Parents of disabled children often face challenges in trying to find appropriate services for their children," said Senator Saland. "Authorizing these committees to provide a list of services and programs serves to better inform parents of accessible and available community support to help both their child and the entire family.

The bill has been sent to the Assembly for consideration.
