Soldier reminds others that donations saved his life

GLENS FALLS -- A ceremony held in front of the war memorial in Crandall Park Friday morning was three things: a memorial service for the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks; a thank you to those that serve as emergency personnel, soldiers and volunteers; and a request from a man whose head was shattered in Iraq but whose life was saved by anonymous blood donors.
