Approximately 200 current and aspiring local small business owners visited the Seaford Knights of Columbus recently to take part in State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr.’s 2009 Small Business Networking Expo.

The event helped these local entrepreneurs to learn from different government and non-profit agencies how they could develop their business. Participants received information on how to access capital, get a small business loan, write a business plan, and other ways to help their business grow. Local chambers of commerce were also on hand to talk about the different business opportunities within their respective communities.

Participants also had the opportunity to network with each other to promote their business and exchange ideas and information.

“This event helped local small business owners learn about programs that can help their businesses grow and develop. In addition, these individuals got to network and promote their businesses with one another. I am pleased that so many people benefited from this event,” said Senator Fuschillo.
