SENATOR FUSCHILLO ADDRESSES LOCAL RETIRED TEACHERS ORGANIZATION
State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) today served as the guest speaker at a meeting of Retiree Council 17, which is a group of local retired teachers.
Senator Fuschillo updated the group’s members about what has been going on in Albany recently. He explained why he voted against the MTA payroll tax because of the harm it will cause local small businesses.
Senator Fuschillo also discussed his efforts to get the STAR Rebate Check program restored so that local residents can get property tax relief. The program was cut from the state budget by Governor Paterson.
Afterwards, Senator Fuschillo answered questions from the members.
