SENATOR FUSCHILLO & MAYOR ALTADONNA VIEW PROGRESS OF MERRICK ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN MASSAPEQUA PARK

State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8^th Senate District) and Massapequa Park Village Mayor James Altadonna today viewed the progress of an ongoing community improvement project along Merrick Road between Whitewood Landing and Harbor Lane.

             As part of the project, which is being financed through state funds secured by Senator Fuschillo, brand new sidewalks and decorative brick pavers were installed along the south side of Merrick Road. According to the Village, new light poles are expected to be installed within the next several weeks.

            Once completed, these improvements will match similar improvements that have already been made to north side of Merrick Road. This will further beautify the area for local homeowners and will benefit small businesses by attracting more people to the shops and stores along Merrick Road.
