SENATOR FUSCHILLO & MEPHAM STUDENTS WORK TO “EXTEND THE HOLIDAYS” FOR CHILDREN IN WINTHROP HOSPITAL

Students at Mepham High School in Bellmore today donated bags of toys that they collected for Senator Charles J. Fuschillo Jr.’s annual “Extend the Holidays” toy drive. Senator Fuschillo (R-Merrick) visited the school to personally thank the students for participating in the program.

“Extend the Holidays” is an annual toy drive Senator Fuschillo organizes for the benefit of children in Winthrop Hospital’s Pediatric Ward. The toys collected by the Mepham students will be delivered to the hospital after the holiday season, so that children can experience the joys of receiving a holiday gift throughout the year.

“Mepham’s students did an unbelievable job in collecting these toys, which will definitely help put a smile on the faces of children and their families who are going through tough times. They should be extremely proud of their efforts, and I thank them for their assistance,” said Senator Fuschillo.
