State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) recently visited Long Island  Cares-the Harry Chapin Food Bank to help celebrate the grand opening of their new “School Tools” distribution center. Senator Fuschillo and Newsday each helped secure funding for the new distribution center.

Long Island Cares’ “School Tools” program provides school supplies to children in need of assistance. Through the program, these children receive items such as backpacks, binders, notebooks, paper, planners, crayons, pens, and pencils so that they can go to school properly equipped for a successful education.
