SENATOR FUSCHILLO VIEWS PROGRESS ON COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN MERRICK

State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (pictured left) recently joined with Supervisor Kate Murray (pictured second right), Councilwoman Angie Cullin (pictured right), and Assemblyman Tom McKevitt (pictured second left) in viewing the progress on a community improvement project in Merrick on Kees Place between Benson Lane and the Merrick Train Station. Senator Fuschillo secured state funding to help offset the costs of the community improvement project.

As part of the project, the Town of Hempstead replaced the existing sidewalks and installed decorative brick pavers. New lighting and trash receptacles will soon be installed.

According to the Town of Hempstead, the project is expected to be completed by the end of this month, weather permitting.
