Sen. Johnson To Host Blood Drive Jan. 29
Senator Craig M. Johnson (D-Nassau) will partner with the Garden City Park Fire Department, the Garden City Park Civic Association and Long Island Blood Services to host a blood drive on Thursday, Jan. 29.
The drive will be held from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Garden City Park Firehouse, 2264 Jericho Turnpike, Garden City Park. January is Volunteer Blood Donor Month.
Long Island Blood Services provides blood to hospitals across Long Island. They are currently experiencing an emergency shortage in their supplies.
“We need your help,” Senator Johnson said. “One pint of blood alone can save up to five lives. I strongly urge anyone who can, to come help us in this very important cause.”
