Senate Majority Leader Malcolm A. Smith & Senate Democratic Conference Meets With Former Mta Chair Richard Ravitch
(Albany, NY)- State Senate Majority Leader Malcolm A. Smith and members of the Senate Democratic Conference will meet Thursday morning with Richard Ravitch, Chairman of the Commission on Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Financing. At the meeting, Mr. Ravitch, a former Chairman of the MTA, will discuss the commission's proposals for how to adequately fund public transit and address the MTA's budget shortfall, as well as ways to improve access and increase service to mass transit.
