Senate Majority Leader Smith Announces Interactive Public Budget Forums
Seeking an unprecedented level of public participation, comment and proposals, State Senate Majority Leader Malcolm A. Smith will announce a number of ways that all New Yorkers can participate in this year’s state budget process.
Facing a $13 billion budget shortfall in the next fiscal year, Smith is encouraging the public to provide alternative proposals to the budget as it stands, and help state leaders craft a responsible budget that puts New York on the path toward fiscal solvency and job growth.
