Senator Golden Honors Local Women As Part Of Women’s History Month
Brooklyn- State Senator Martin Golden recently honored women from the community for their outstanding service who were selected by their peers for this award.
The following women were honored by Senator Golden:
Iris Y. Chiu, Assistant Principal of Lafayette High School, Andrea D’Emic, Principal of St. Patrick’s School, Carmella Golino, from St. Finbar’s Parish, Sandy Irrera involved with local schools and the charitable organizations including the Guild for Exceptional Children, Sister Virginia Lake, Bishop Kearney High School, and Maureen Neuringer of Mapleton Kiwanis.
Senator Marty Golden stated, "Each year, the country marks the month of March with a celebration of Women’s History Month, a time for our nation as a collection of communities to highlight and honor those women who have brought about change through their untiring efforts, and to pay tribute to the women who have made a difference. I am proud to honor these outstanding women of our community and pay tribute to all they have accomplished."
