SENATOR NOZZOLIO HONORS CINDY CAMPBELL AS 2009 "WOMAN OF DISTINCTION"

Albany- Chosen by Senator Mike Nozzolio for her extraordinary accomplishments and contributions to her community and the State of New York, Cindy Campbell of Waterloo, the President of the State of New York Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, is among the outstanding women across New York State who were honored at the 2009 "Women of Distinction" ceremony held Thursday, June 10th in Albany, and sponsored by the New York State Senate.

As President of the State of New York Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, Cindy has worked tirelessly to ensure that our States veterans will not be forgotten and to make certain that our veterans and their families receive the assistance they need.

"It is an honor to recognize and pay tribute to Cindy Campbell. Cindy is fully committed to public service and has shown an extraordinary willingness to give of her time in service to our community and to the veterans of our State," said Senator Nozzolio.

Launched in 1998, the Women of Distinction program was created to celebrate the rich heritage of notable women from New York's past as well as to honor outstanding women today who have followed their example.
