Titusville Intermediate School Wins Senator Saland’s Reading Olympics

Senator Steve Saland (R,C Poughkeepsie) today announced that Titusville Intermediate School has won his Summertime Reading Olympics Program. Titusville had the largest percentage of eligible students participate in the reading program.

IBM has generously agreed to provide a series of five educational workshops as part of IBM’s On Demand Community Initiative to the winner. This program, led by a team of IBM volunteers, will provide software and activities to help promote math, science and literacy. Titusville Intermediate School will also receive a donation of equipment from IBM.

"Congratulations to all of the students at Titusville Intermediate School who participated in the Summertime Reading Olympics," said Senator Saland. "Not only did you take this opportunity to learn, but thanks to your hard work your school will receive this wonderful donation from IBM."
