Cerebral Palsy Assocations Of New York State To Present Senator Morahan With ’Legislator Of The Year Award’
The Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State has selected New York State Senator Thomas P. Morahan as their "2007 Legislator of the Year." Senator Morahan serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities. He will be presented with this distinguished honor on Monday, October 22, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. at the organization's Annual Conference being held at the Desmond Hotel in Albany.
Dr. Idajean Windell, Ed.D, Chairperson of the Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State, indicated that the Senator had been selected to receive this award because of his "distinguished career as a legislator and...his commitment and dedication to improving the lives of all people with disabilities and their families."
Dr. Windell praised Morahan for articulating "that New York is a national leader in quality services for people with disabilities."
