Senator Morahan Announces 2007 “Women Of Distinction” Inductee
Senator Thomas P. Morahan announced the selection of Rockland County businesswoman, Patrice Prusmack as the 2007 New York State Senate "Woman of Distinction" award recipient from the 38th Senatorial District.
"Patrice Prusmack is a remarkable ‘woman of distinction’, whose work and special accomplishments contribute to making our communities better and safer, and who serves as a special example to others," said Senator Morahan, who represents Rockland County.
Prusmack is the Chief Administration Officer, founder and owner of DHS Technologies, located in Orangeburg. The company manufactures for U.S. Army Medium and Large Command Post Systems, which have been used by the U.S. Military against the Global War on Terrorism as well as various Federal and State Agencies to aid in rescue efforts such as Hurricane Katrina. At present, there are more than 12,000 shelters and 3,500 powered trailers in service around the globe, including combat areas such as Iraq and Afghanistan.
In a ceremony scheduled for June 5th at the Capitol in Albany, the New York State Senate will honor leading women from the worlds of business, academics and civic life, as well as those who have preformed heroic or selfless acts, and/or have demonstrated examples of personal excellence against difficult odds.
