Senator Montgomery Hosts Dialogue on Funding Cuts to Youth Programs

In her new role as Chairperson of the NYS Senate Committee on Children and Families, State Senator Velmanette Montgomery (D-Brooklyn) hosted a Roundtable Discussion for providers of youth services to discuss the Governor’s proposed 2009-10 State Budget and its impact on the delivery of programs and services for young people of all ages.

The meeting, which was held at Polytechnic Institute of NYU, also provided an opportunity for youth group representatives to discuss policy issues that will help shape Senator Montgomery’s legislative agenda.
