BPO awarded $300K state grant

The grant, which was secured through state Sen. William Stachowski, D-Lakeview, will go to the BPO’s general fund but will be earmarked for the children’s fund. The money helps underwrite concerts the BPO performs for area school children.

“It was a pretty easy lift,” Stachowski said. “The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra plays a major role in our community. They are a very important part of the region, everyone agrees on that point.”
