UB to honor business links

The University at Buffalo will honor, evaluate and promote its associations with area businesses today with its annual Business Partner Day at the Adam’s Mark Hotel in downtown Buffalo.
Honors include the Reaching Others Award, to be given to New York State Sen. William T. Stachowski for his support for UB’s growth and its UB 2020 expansion plans.
The luncheon program is sold out. But displays and panel discussions that run from 8 a. m. to noon are free and open to the public.
They include the release of a UB Regional Institute study on the area’s “brain drain,” or loss of educated young people, as well as discussions of education, job placement, maintaining the workforce’s emotional health, cross-border trade and the prospects of profiting from the green economy.
