Law expands ability of businesses to sell alternative power

GREENWICH -- State Sen. Elizabeth Little, R-Queensbury, is touting a measure aimed at helping businesses take advantage of solar and wind energy.
Gov. David Paterson approved the measure on Tuesday that closes a loophole in a law passed in 2009 that allowed non-residential solar energy users to sell excess power back to a utility.
