Series about agency sparks reactions by area representatives

Greater local control, reasonable enforcement and a cap on excessive fines would make the Adirondack Park Agency more responsive to property owners' needs, area officials said on Monday.

They were responding to a series of articles published on Sunday and Monday in The Post-Star and written by Projects Editor Will Doolittle. The series documented property owners who have been hit with large fines and regulatory red tape by the Adirondack Park Agency.
