HOW TO HELP THE RED CROSS' HAITIAN RELIEF EFFORTS

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the many people affected by the earthquake in Haiti.

If you are interested in helping with the relief efforts, you can visit the American Red Cross' website by clicking here. You can also make a donation through text message by texting "HAITI" to "90999" (a donation of$10 will be given automatically to the Red Cross to help with the relief efforts and will appear on your cell phone bill).

In addition, the Freeport Recreation Center is accepting clothing, non-perishable foods, and medical supplies to aid the Haiti earthquake victims. These items can be dropped off at the center, which is located at 130 East Merrick Road in Freeport. Residents who would like more information can call the Center at 516-377-2314 (press "0" for the Operator).
