SENATOR FUSCHILLO HONORS EX-CHIEF THOMAS FERNANDEZ FOR HIS YEARS OF SERVICE TO MERRICK FIRE DEPARTMENT

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. today honored Thomas J. Fernandez for his service to the Merrick Fire Department as Chief of the Department. Ex-Chief Fernandez recently completed his tenure as the Department’s Chief.

Senator Fuschillo presented Ex-Chief Fernandez with a copy of a legislative resolution passed by the New York State Senate honoring his service to the Department and the Merrick community. With the passage of the resolution, which Senator Fuschillo sponsored, Ex-Chief Fernandez’ legacy of service is forever in the history books as part of the New York State Senate’s official record.
