New York State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) today visited Wantagh High School to speak about state government with students in Mr. Bill Bogatz’ College Economics class.

Senator Fuschillo talked to the students about many of the initiatives he has been working on in Albany over the past several years, including tax relief, tougher penalties for drunk driving, and insurance coverage for children with autism. Senator Fuschillo also discussed the impact the current economy is having on the state’s finances.

Afterwards, the students asked Senator Fuschillo questions about some of the things that he discussed.

“The students showed a good understanding of the issues and asked very intelligent questions. I really enjoyed having the opportunity to speak with them,” said Senator Fuschillo.
