Seward Honors Youth Farmers
COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (WKTV) - Teaching future generations the importance of farming was the goal behind the 63rd Annual Farmer's Museum Junior Livestock Show in Otsego County.
Farmers were joined by area officials at the educational event on the Iroquois Farm Show Grounds along County Highway 33 in Cooperstown - an event that is tradition in the summer months.
"Well, if we're going to have any future in agriculture, we've got to involve young people, and that's why this show is so important," Senator Seward said. "And it's important for all of us, whether we live on the farm or not."
