ADDABBO HOLDS PRE-MOTHER’S DAY EVENT: FREE MAMMOGRAMS AT GLENRIDGE SENIOR CENTER  

No-Cost Breast Cancer Screenings / Early Detection Can Save Lives!

WHERE:  Glenridge Senior Center, 5903 Summerfield Street, Ridgewood

 

WHAT:      NYS Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr., in coordination with the American Italian Cancer Foundation, is sponsoring a Mobile Mammography Van at the Glenridge Senior Center between 9 AM - 3 PM. Medical services for free mammogram screenings will be provided by Multi-Diagnostic Services, Inc. Insured and uninsured women ages 40 and older who have had no mammogram in the past 12 months are invited. An appointment is necessary (no drop-ins allowed); call 1-800-453-8378, Ext. 1. Insured women will not be charged a co-pay; they must bring their Medicare, Medicaid or health insurance membership card. This is the fifth free mammography event sponsored by Senator Addabbo for women in his district since October 2008. Early detection can save lives; as a pre-Mother’s

                   Day event, the Mobile Mammography Van will come to Ridgewood offering free breast cancer screenings to all older women whose  continued good health is vital to their families. 

                   Funding for the Mobile Mammography Program is generously provided by Avon Foundation Breast Care Fund; National Breast Cancer Foundation; New York City Council; New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; The New York Community Trust; and the New York State Department of Health.
