New Accessible Entrance for Transit Museum

Elected officials Wednesday joined Gabrielle Shubert, head of the New York Transit Museum, for the unveiling of the museum’s new ADA-accessible entrance at the corner of Court and Schermerhorn streets. The entryway features improved lighting and a sleek, contemporary design that increases the museum’s visibility. Seen at the podium with Shubert is state Sen. Daniel Squadron, with Borough President Marty Markowitz and Councilman Steve Levin at left. The entrance provides an urgently needed upgrade for visitors who are unable to use stairs.
