DEC extends public comment period on the future of the Marcellus Shale

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) announced yesterday that the comment period for the public to weigh in on the future of the Marcellus Shale until January 11, 2012.

O'Mara named new chairman of Senate Environmental Conservation Committee, will also serve as a member on nine additional committees including Agriculture, Energy, and Transportation
