Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Labor Department recently launched a new, online jobs bank called "Jobs Express" in an effort to connect unemployed New Yorkers with the jobs available in the regions where they live.

A day after New York State issued its March 25th directive to nursing homes, public health experts on the front lines of long-term care warned that it was “over-reaching, not consistent with science…and beyond all, not in the least consistent with patient safety principles.”

Until New York State revises this mandate and reduces the distancing requirement – a move now supported by federal health leaders, many physicians and public health experts, as well as scientific studies and data -- students in too many districts will remain shut out from returning to their classrooms full time.
