State DEC unveils new report on future of Marcellus Shale

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will unveil later today a new report on the future of the Marcellus Shale natural gas industry.

Watch this morning's new conference (beginning at 11 a.m.) with DEC Commissioner Joseph Martens.

As noted in yesterday's DEC news release, the complete 2011 Supplemental Generic Impact Statement (SGEIS) will become available on Friday, July 8, 2011 on the DEC website (where you can currently review the department's preliminary revised draft).  According to the DEC, a 60-day public comment period will commence in August.
