State steps up for brewers

A package of laws passed by state legislators Tuesday could get brewers hopping in a historic way, according to David Katleski, president of the New York Brewers Association.
“I think New York state is poised to be one of the largest brewers per capita in the United States,” Katleski said Tuesday, minutes after the Assembly unanimously passed legislation aimed at growing the state’s beer industry.
