Judge Patricia Marks of Penfield, interim president and CEO of Veterans Outreach Center, has been selected as a 2012 New York State Senate “Woman of Distinction.”
She was selected for the award by Sen. Jim Alesi (R-Perinton) and will be honored May 15 at a ceremony at the State Capitol in Albany.
"It has been a great privilege to know Judge Marks for many years and her distinguished tenure on the bench and her efforts on behalf of veterans make her an exemplary Woman of Distinction," said Alesi.
The Women of Distinction program was first created as part of the Senate’s celebration of Women’s History Month. In addition to recognizing present-day women, the Senate hosts an annual display to honor distinguished women from New York’s past.
