Watch today's legislative budget hearing live beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The Legislature's fiscal committees -- the Senate Finance Committee and the Assembly Ways and Means Committee -- have started a series of joint legislative hearings, 13 in all, on Governor Andrew Cuomo's 2012-2013 proposed state budget.

Today's hearing will examine the governor's proposals for aid to localities and general government operations.

These joint legislative hearings will continue through February 14, 2012 and will be available for live viewing on the Senate website.
