Farm Bureau Recognizes Legislators
All of Oneida County’s state representatives are among the 101 senators and Assembly members recognized by the New York Farm Bureau for their support of the state’s agriculture industry.
Named to group’s 2013 Circle of Friends were: state Sens. Joseph A. Griffo, R-47, Rome, and David J. Valesky, D-53, Oneida; and Assembly members Ken Blankenbush, R-117, Black River; Anthony J. Brindisi, D-119, Utica; Marc W. Butler, R-118, Newport; William D. Magee, D-121, Nelson; and Claudia Tenney, R-101, New Hartford.
The designation for work supporting agriculture in this year’s legislative session.
"The selected lawmakers from both the Assembly and Senate were chosen for their commitment to the hardworking farm families in New York," said state Farm Bureau President Dean Norton in a statement. "Each friend has demonstrated that they understand the importance of agriculture to the people of their legislative district, and how farming significantly impacts the economy of this great state."
