Weekend Bus Service Returns to B24 Line in Queens, Brooklyn

The B24 bus will start running on weekends again starting this Sunday for the first time in nearly two years, according to an announcement from Queens state Sen. Michael Gianaris.

“The restored weekend service on the B24 line is a good start to the new year as Sunnyside commuters will be able to travel more easily throughout their neighborhood,” Gianaris said in a statement.

But another neighborhood bus route, the Q103, had its weekday service expanded this fall. The bus runs along the Queens waterfront on Vernon Boulevard, between Hunters Point and Astoria, from 6:10 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the week.

Gianaris said he's also petitioning the MTA to expand Q103 service to nights and weekends.
