Senator O'Mara and Assemblyman Phil Palmesano of Corning were guests last weekend on Brian O'Neil's weekly show "Connections" on WLEA radio in Hornell.

The area lawmakers discussed several topics including the push underway in Albany -- which they strongly oppose -- to implement a statewide system of taxpayer-financed political campaigns, and a potentially major shift underway in rural transportation.
