NYS Department of Health issues important bulletin for regional, statewide early intervention providers
On Tuesday, August 13, 2013, the State Department of Health (DOH) issued an important bulletin for early intervention providers throughout the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions, and statewide.
According to DOH, state-funded "safety net payments" will be issued to early intervention providers in response to provider concerns about the lack of payment of claims submitted to insurance companies.
The department's action is in response to a large number of insurance companies' lack of compliance with recently enacted Early Intervention Program reforms.
