The New York State Senate will hold a final hearing in Elmira today on the impact of the state Office of Mental Health "Regional Centers of Excellence" to consolidate and reorganize the New York's mental health system.

Under the OMH plan, inpatient services at the Elmira Psychiatric Center would be eliminated and the facility's overall role diminished.

Senator O'Mara continues to join other local leaders, Elmira PC employees, patients, family members and concerned citizens in opposition to the Cuomo administration plan.
