A Harlem Pol Asks Mayor de Blasio To Aid 125th St. Businesses In The Path Of The Planned National Urban League Headquarters

Senator Perkins continued his unrelenting advocacy on behalf of an indigenous group of local and longstanding businesses at 121 West 125th Street who are fighting for their personal and professional lives in the face of a looming redevelopment that threatens to shutter their businesses forever.
Senator Perkins wrote a letter to Mayor Bill de Blasio, recounted in the Daily News today--that called for his help “to help preserve our shared heritage as humble merchants who clothe and feed the Harlem community, New York City and tourists that venture to this community from all over the world.”
