My appreciation to Mr. Rex Smith Editor of The Times Union

You should know that on Sunday September 28, Mr. Rex Smith, Editor of The Times Union, wrote an article in response to one of my columns in which I declare myself one of the most effective Democratic Senators in the State.

You should know that it is an honor for me to know that Mr. Rex Smith reads and pays attention to my columns, even though he intends to put me down.
