State Sen. Tony Avella (D-Bayside) reports improved conditions on a College Point street that was littered with industrial parts and construction material.
Since bringing it to the public’s attentiion last month, the area around 124th Street and 28th Avenue has been cleared.
In other news, the senator announced his snow removal program for seniors will return for its third year and that volunteers are needed.
“With winter just on the horizon, it is vital that our seniors are prepared ... Our seniors need our help and I encourage as many volunteers as possible to participate,” he said.
