Senator Espaillat Praises NYS Fast-Food Wage Board Recommendation to Raise the Minimum Wage for Fast-Food Workers to $15 an Hour
"The Increasingly high cost of living in our city is making it more and more difficult for low-wage workers to make ends meet. Hard working New Yorkers, that work full time jobs, are unable to provide for their families. That's not good for our economy and is an affront to our shared values. Raising the minimum wage for fast-food workers to $15 an hour will lift hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers out of poverty and I applaud Governor Cuomo for this leadership in taking this historic step towards equality."
