Ithaca, N.Y., January 12--Last Friday, State Senator Tom O'Mara (R,C,I-Big Flats) visited the proposed site of the Wharton Studio Museum in Stewart Park.

"I appreciated this opportunity to see firsthand yet another of Ithaca's ongoing contributions to cultural and historical celebration and preservation regionally, statewide and nationally," said O'Mara. "The proposed Wharton Studio Museum is an exciting endeavor to secure Ithaca's place in the history of silent movies and the American film industry overall. It's going to strengthen local tourism and establish a unique attraction for local residents and visitors alike."
