The memory of one of our fallen local heroes, Marine Cpl. Christopher Bordoni, a native of Ithaca who died while serving our nation in Afghanistan in 2012, was recently honored by the Upstate Chapter of the Protectors Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club.

The club donated $3,500 to the Ithaca Police Department K9 Team in Cpl. Bordoni's honor.

Cpl. Bordoni's parents, Carol and Tim Bordoni, attended the recent presentation ceremony at the Ithaca Police Department Training Center.
