Senate Passes Robach Legislation

I am proud to announce that earlier this week, the New York State Senate overwhelming supported legislation that I sponsored, which will require violent felons to serve a minimum of 80% of their time before they can be eligible for any time credits or allowance. I carried this legislation in response to public feedback over recent violent crimes committed in Rochester by parolees out too soon. This legislation will make our streets and neighborhoods safer, and will make certain that violent felons continue their rehabilitation in a secure setting.
